The Sunnyvale-based company expects to begin registering new addresses under the domains of "ymail" and "rocketmail" around noon PDT Thursday at http://mail.yahoo.com.
It will be the first time that Yahoo has offered e-mail accounts under umbrellas other than its own company name since it became a correspondence conduit in 1997. |
I don't like introducing new domains. I feel it would be away better if the make different domains for each country, eg. @yahoo.co.uk @yahoo.com.eg |
I noticed Yahoo bought Ymail.com a few months back. A lowercase y can look too much like a lowercase g in writing, though. |
Following Google, or should we say, copying from Google? |
I agree with scjm, expect spam to your GMail address asking to renew from google-employeeymail.com |
Yahoo employees are not as smart as G. They love to copy their ideas. |
The data doesn't support the contention that Yahoo is a failure.
Wouldn't be so quick to write off Yahoo with something like "Yahoo employees are not as smart;" a silly thing to say. Both companies have more doctoral degrees than most universities.

To be the top trafficked site globally..you have to do something right.
