That is the winner doodle: http://www.google.com/intl/de/doodle4google/images/doodles/19.jpg
It will be published on google.de google.at & google.ch on sunday |
Doesn't work too well in that small size but it's good that Google is going for something more chaotic and unusual for a logo. |
Yes, ugly. There was better logos in contest than this one. |
Is this the worst doodle ever added to a Google homepage? |
I've just checked all ever made Google logos, and YES, this is the worst. Well, the most unreadable anyway, ex-æquo with Google Doodle in Braille. |
That is the first doodle on the mobile version of Google

Nice one. Represents what's going up in our streets this days. ;-)
Herzlichen Glückwunsch! |
Find it a little precarious that the drawing competition was held in Germany as well and not only in Austria and Switzerland. |
TOMHTML, and the others, how can you say that this picture is ugly? You really have a bad taste, sorry.
In my opinion this picture is really good ^^
Glückwunsch Mai Ngoc Dao |
0: Go through all Google Doodles of 2008 (eg on http://www.googlewatchblog.de/wiki/Doodles%202008). When you see one of that doodles, you know that it is a google logo. You also see what it is about: lego, leap year, spring and so on. When I saw Mai Ngoc Dao's doodle the first time, I thought: What had she done with the Google Logo, and what the topic of the drawing competition is soccer.
When you have the time to watch at the doodle for some minutes you see it is about soccer. In my eyes Dao's Doodle has to much details.
But it is a nice work for a 17 years old girl.
either you like it or not

I thought Doodle 4 Google judges (especially Dennis Hwang), wanted much simpler doodles. This was one of the 'tips' Dennis gave in the Doodle 4 Google website: "Don't over-complicate your design – simpler images often have the most impact."
Yes, very ugly. It's trash. Garbage. UGLY!
I think it's graffiti. One might say it's desecrating the Google logo. |
