Follow-up to previous post back in August 2007: http://blogoscoped.com/forum/105939.html

Google plans to syndicate a new Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy creator) series using Adsense as the distribution method. The series will be called "Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy" and will include 50 two-minute episodes. The series will begin sometime in September.

<< Advertising will be incorporated into the clips in varying ways. In some cases, there will be “preroll” ads, which ask viewers to sit through a TV-style commercial before getting to the video. Some advertisers may opt for a banner to be placed at the bottom of the video clip or a simple “brought to you by” note at the beginning. >>

Being a fan of Family Guy, I can't wait to see what's in store for this new type of series.

<< Google will syndicate the program using its AdSense advertising system to thousands of Web sites that are predetermined to be gathering spots for Mr. MacFarlane’s target audience, typically young men. >>

How do you think they will come up with the "target audience"?

We think this is fantastic for short form animated Web series. We believe we have the world's first daily animated series on the internet called "Traveling Gringos". Our shorts are around 30 seconds each and come out Monday-Friday. We have been releasing daily episodes since February of 2008. www.podcomics.com
