The original poster in the comments adds "Employees have to choose relocation or severance" and as for the reason, says "Consolidation. Someone decided the ROI wasn't there. Bummer." |
No jobs in Denver but Thorton and Boulder. There is a listing in Dallas http://www.google.com/support/jobs/bin/topic.py?loc_id=1100&dep_id=1173&by_loc=1 |
So will the SketchUp team stay in Colorado still? |
I thought Sketchup team was in Boulder... no? |
well, i suspect that these are also two locations where starbucks is going to shut down... |
Distressing to see Google resorting to ambiguous language. Does their statement mean that they are closing BOTH offices in each location or only one of them? |
Lets not forget Google is a business subject to recession like all. |
Sketchup is (nearby) in the Republic of Boulder ... ;-) |
Barnaby:
Only one of the 2 in the Denver market is being closed (they've got another in Boulder, just 20 miles away from the one being closed).
And the Denver closure is a Sales office, not a tech office (servers, engineers, coders, et. al.) |
Google *just* moved into brand new offices in uptown Dallas. I didn't know they had multiple offices here.
