Hi, when I go the GMail log in page I get a broken encryption alert – don't get it for other things, tho, such as Google Accounts. Should I be worried? And is it just me or are other people getting this too?

no, i'm not getting this. what about when you login and are in gmail? do you get an alert then?

no, there is no alert and no padlock icon – i can't remember if there has ever been one after login...

I messed around with the javascript settings and other things and now the padlock is back on – false alarm I guess...

When I go to login, I'm getting a popup saying the page contains both secure and nonsecure items.

This is because Google have placed some Adsense tracking code in the page that's being served over HTTP rather than HTTPS.

thanks tony – i think that's what happened to me – once I blocked the adsense javascript it stopped happening
