Here there are... the only 390 templates, for docs, spreadsheets, and presentations. http://docs.google.com/templates
The release: http://www.google.com/google-d-s/whatsnew.html http://youtube.com/watch?v=dSGkzDgW1fA
My questions: Why haven't they merge Presentations' template and the gadgets directory with the global directory? Why no templates use any gadget (at least Google's ones)? Why to propose "Calendars & Schedules" if there's no way to sync a Google Calendar with a Google Spreadsheet (this should have been implemented first!) Why not to create forms... for documents? (as they no separate forms from spreasheet, they could make form a whole app so that we could attach them to docs or spreadsheet and access forms from the Docs List) And why not to create templates for forms? |
There's also a new (?) full screen editor mode for documents. |
Here the official blog entry for the new gallery: http://googledocs.blogspot.com/2008/07/templates-bring-docs-to-life.html |
Wow, the gallery is amazing, at least it would be one thing better than Office since their template sucks.
Pixelisation's questions are valid though but I think they should be able to fix those soon. |
Comcast parody in "Blue Rays Resume"-template?

Yeah, I've noticed too. I don't know why it doesn't work to copy/paste the CSS code. Is there any workaround? |
Pixelisation A template may not be just the CSS defintition. The Document default styles may have been changed or turned off), and the template document may be using tables (and perhaps headers and footers).

Great suggestions, Pixelisation. The launch of the gallery was a huge step. 300+ templates all at once was quite an achievement. I know for myself that the main reason for not providing more templates was time. |
Now, there's "only" 294 templates (vs. 309 few days ago). Why? |
