I've watched some videos on Youtube (I've never have had a TV) and I've noticed the fireworks – the ones shot along a big avenue – could not be real.
The weirdest thing at the moment was that the reporters were talking "over" the show as if it was a mere animation but they were asserting this was the beginning of the fireworks.
I'm pretty sure many of us were aware of the trick. |
Apparently the fireworks where set off, it's just we didn't see those ones, we saw the CG ones instead |
Yeah. I don't know how i feel about this. I don't like it though-- i can say that much. |
Hahah! that's what they get! |
=)) BSOD during the performance is a great thing to have ;) |
Looks like the child singing was fake too, Milli Vanilli style (one apparently had a preferable "image", the other the preferable voice):
<<Lin Miaoke (林妙可),the sweet nine-year-old girl who sang “Paean to the Motherland” 《歌唱祖国》when the Chinese national flag entered the Bird’s Nest Stadium during the Olympics Opening Ceremony, is now the hottest child star in China. Her image was also on the front page of the New York Times and thousands of other print media reaching billions of readers around the globe. But in a recent interview with Beijing People’s Broadcasting Station, Chen Qigang (陈其钢), the General Music Designer of the Opening Ceremony, revealed that the voice everyone heard singing at the Opening Ceremony was actually a pre-recording of another child, Yang Peiyi (杨沛宜), a student of the Attached Primary School of Beijing University at Zhongguancun>> http://chinadigitaltimes.net/2008/08/another-olympic-secret-who-was-actually-singing-as-the-national-flag-entered-the-stadium/

The one who appeared lip syncing:

Apparently, the actual singer:

Fake Olympic Fake Fireworks Fake Singing Question = Where did the Olympics actually take place? Answer = Steven Spielberg's backyard (in the effect studios) |
What else is fake? What about location, is that fake too? |
Wow, the Chinese government official thought that the actual girl that sung did not have a face suitable for audience, therefore replaced her.

I think the lip syncing one look so fake...untruthful and pretencious(national character...may be?). I know it right the at the second I saw. |
