October eh? Can't wait!! :) |
I've seen September, October and Christmas of 2008. I'll believe it when I see it. |
Too bad it will start with HTC and not Nokia.
BTW, i was wondering whether i Can install Android on my current phone? (N95 8GB) (After launch of course :P) |
David, Nokia aren't members of the Open Handset Alliance:

I guess it's possible that someone will work out how to do it but it won't be officially supported. |
What?!?!? How come Nokia isn't one of the members? That's really strange.. :/
Is the list final? :|
BTW, thanks Tony :) |
Not too enamored of cellphones to begin with, I wouldn't mind one that won't constrain me to some Steve's arbitrary control-freakery, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. But, it NEEDS to be as well-designed and integrated hardware-software-anyware as the iPhone. Which I doubt this one will be, besides it's early days yet.... anybody seen close-up picts of that HTC Dream? (other than of these grainy videos that may or may not be it).
In any case, the "experience" (so far/ as it were) of the Neo Freerunner/ Open Moko-powered mobile phone isn't exactly... inspiring? http://wiki.openmoko.org/images/thumb/b/b9/Freerunner02.gif/200px-Freerunner02.gif http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Neo_FreeRunner http://arstechnica.com/reviews/os/open-moko-software.ars |
