There is a real world equivalent to this. My old roommate spent time on such a job. She was paid to sit for a workday going through magazines and newspapers and circle a clients name where ever it appeared.

The pages with circles were then sent to a reviewer. The reviewer would then judge on whether the article was good or bad.

Good stuff went to one department, the bad to another.

If bad, it was then split into true and not true. The True department then had to build a plan on how to deal with the bad true stuff... and the untrue department then began creating letters to editors.

Then there was the legal staff ... and so on and so on.
