I just got this email in my Gmail account: http://www.windowslive-hotmail.com/comingsoon/en-us/default.htm

"Cool stuff coming soon. We've got even more great updates to Hotmail for you to look forward to, like ever-increasing storage2, the ability to IM right from Hotmail, and new calendar features that make it easier to share your calendar with family and friends."

hmmm....who else does that?

Sounds like Gmail to me. Yahoo! even copied faster than Microsoft. Wow.

Ha ha. Sounds... Unimpressive.
This can only mean more storage for gmail though in the storage race

At least (and at last) they're doing it. Think of all the time (thus energy thus oil) saved by these little steps.

Even unimpressive, that is welcome.

This reminds me of a Digg article titled, "What is the best free email account? – Google's Gmail" (3416 Diggs)
http://digg.com/software/What_is_the_best_free_email_account_Google_s_Gmail

And i love the top comments:

"The "No shit" article of the day." (103 Diggs)

"Gmail is incredible, if you're still using hotmail, seriously:

Go fuck yourself" (244 Diggs)

"In related news, Apple's "iPod" was named best portable mp3 device." (272 Diggs)

"Anybody who doesn't already know this doesn't deserve Gmail." (373 Diggs)

"Captain Obvious comes to the rescue." (868 Diggs)

Isn't that err... Live Mail? Haven't read the whole thing but looks like they are forcing everyone on the classic (hotmail) to switch to the updated Live Mail, right? It's about time.

Also, IM-ing from browser is super lame IMHO.
