For those who bought an earlier version, is there a PDF available with the changes (new chapter) ?

Yes, "Rocket Man" doesn't seem to have been included in the original 2005 publication.

Wonder why these two perhaps more negative parts (for Google) are missing?

To keep The Google Story compelling and relevant, we looked at many possible cuts prior to publishing the updated 10th birthday edition.

Click fraud became an industry issue. And Google seemed to improve the way it dealt with advertiser complaints. As a result, we no longer deemed "Trick Clicks" worthy of chapter-length treatment.

Eric Schmidt's run-in with CNET seemed less consequential since Google reversed itself and began talking to CNET again.

Philipp, I hope this answers your good question re: why the cuts occurred.

Hey David,

Thanks for your comments and fascinating book! Can we expect to see more "Updated Editions" in the future?

Given Google's youth @ 10, the age of an elementary school child, there may be an opportunity for an update during the adolescent years :)
