Just a black page – to save energy, as the creator says, though as was revealed by others that's not really working* – with an input box, calling itself the "Smallest Google" (and using the Custom Search Engine for results):
smallestgoogle.com

More small Google's:
guimp.com/google.html
IExplorer-only: blogoscoped.com/mini.html
blogoscoped.com/archive/2005-0 ...

[Thanks David!]

The energy saving is secondary, the minimalism is primary; less space, bandwidth, time, etc. The frontpage is 20 times smaller than google.com, every page under 1k (so SEO is brutal. . .)

There is a mock-up at smallestgoogle.com/w.html which is white, if you prefer it

Permanently moved to: vimle.com
Black version at: b.vimle.com

Use black version if you prefer or with older CRT monitors to save energy, use white version if you prefer or with newer LCD monitors.

Search with Vim! Thanks for your continued support
