Google has recently promised that it won't follow Apple's model and it won't charge fees for uploading apps to Android Market.

Applications sold in the Android Market are apparently not DRM-crippled and can be installed any number of times on any device: http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/answer.py?answer=113410&topic=16286
This is great for usability, but the Android Market will need to offer a compelling customer experience if it is to prosper in the presence of unofficial distribution channels. |
