Google just launch a German Version of Knol.
Philipp: Do you need the "pressemitteilung" (sry, i am too lazy to google what it is in english :P)? |
According to Google Translate it means Press :/ But Bebelfish says Press Release, which would make sense, I think.
Anywho...It sounds good...I'm disappointed that knol isn't taking off...it could be bigger, but it's not being promoted well...
New languages are always good though. |
Yes that means "press release"...
Knol is now also launched in French, Philippe Lagane emailed me: http://www.accessoweb.com/Knol-maintenant-en-francais_a4324.html |
news release or press release :) |
There is an Italian version launched to, http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/10/30/google-knol-opens-up-to-other-languages/ |
After some trying i found a Spanish version also, http://knol.google.com/k/knol/Home?hl=es |
I've found no audio file for French article :-/ |
Also Korean and Portugese: http://knol.google.com/k?hl=ko http://knol.google.com/k?hl=pt
There are many interesting things happening at Knol.
You can now embed YouTube videos, Google Docs spreadsheets and presentations, Picasa web slideshows, calendars etc.
Visitor counts are now displayed on each knol (mine range from under 100 for most knols to 2000 for a knol that was featured on the front page for a few days). A "what's new" tab on the knol home page shows recently modified knols (about 30 per hour).
Established knol authors are now having the "nofollow" removed from their articles. I now have: <meta name="robots" content="index, follow, noodp" /> on my knols (links in comments are individually nofollowed).
