Google today launched Street View on Google Maps in New Zealand. Street View lets users view and navigate 360 degree street-level imagery of local cities, towns, regions and remote areas.>>

Hope they will soon continue releasing picture for europe, I heard a rumor that google streetview is so data intensive that the release date has to do with server capacity... not sure where I heard this and whether its true... |

It feels like the map data is of a worse quality in new zealand then the one in america, as in various cities the road lines went totally "berserk" (e.g. Hanmer Springs, Canterbury) I saw it various times in america as well, but now the first three cities I checked had these problems.
PS. If I am not stating the problem clearly, I mean where the gps data does not exactly maths the map creating roads jumping from one road to another and road lines going through buildings. |
