Thumbnails look smaller, and there's some little sharing icon. PS WHY can you not sort these alphabetically? |
It suggest to share with tagged people... Cool, but it's still not as pratical as Facebook.
A notification system (OpenSocial, are you coming for Xmas?) would be far better than this.
BTW, we still can't share a single pic, except by duplicating the pic in a new album (share the link to a contact and all the album is accessible to him).
Note that Orkut launched the same feature lately: http://en.blog.orkut.com/2008/11/share-photographic-wealth-now-you-can.html
|
You can also lock your albums now and keep them truly private!!! |
it looks better but longer to load it :-/ Well, there are a "share button" but it's not really like Google Docs one... |
The example link for a public (locked album) now says :
The requested URL /_eZ_iTp4cJV4/STfHwRikfvI/AAAAAAAACkY/FdP-vZTOrvs/12-cykel_vid_trad-normal.jpg was not found on this server. |
I don't think they are necessarily locked.. It just means 'sign-on' is required. When I tested it out, I half expected to set an Album 'password'. But that's no the case. |
So, when will google add storage space? With Windows Live offering 25 GB for free now, isn't it silly to expect users to pay $20 for 5 GB now? |
> I don't think they are necessarily locked.. It just means > 'sign-on' is required
They use a lock as an icon, with the element class reading "SPRITE_lock-protected"... after creating such an album you are meant to specifically invite those people you want to share the album with... |
