Fake. Like a spec sheet would boast about EDGE when the G1 has much faster HSDPA. Like a spec sheet would mention T-zones which is very limited compared to where you can go with the Android browser.

I think there won't be a G2.

G = Google integration
1 = First Android phone

The rest of the phones will no longer be special and I don't think Google will co-brand another phone.

I don't think the Google logo is for branding the hardware. I think it's because, in addition to the open source Android software, the phone includes some proprietary Google software applications.

I assume that any phone manufacturer can negotiate with Google to include the software and the logo (presumably with some money changing hands).

You guys are talking about the Sony Ericsson phone that has Android in it?
