Gmail has right now the following footer:

"Search your mail quicker than ever. Download the Google Toolbar, now with Google Mail search. Learn more"

Google Toolbar links to toolbar.google.com/gmail-toolb ... which is 404 here.

And actually it was not Gmail link which was not working by Mathias, it was Toolbar link.

Mathias use a proxy.
That site is blocked from Germany caused by the "Gmail ab geht die Post" process i think
