"There's a new rumor that Google is developing its own router. The company won't comment on the story, but it's been in the hardware business for a while and expanded its presence with Android. If Larry Ellison can go halvsies with HP on a server, then Eric Schmidt should certainly be able to make Cisco nervous." |
yes, we also need to remember the DC in a container concept. The router is just another h/w piece in the puzzle! |
Don't think that is true. Google is a software company...and they would be stupid to release their own router. There is too much initial cost involved in developing/building one and other companies (Cisco&Co) are already miles away. Remember there was no Google Phone (real Hardware)..there was just the Android Platform (Software)..
But i start with another rumour..Google is getting in the hard drive business...Who else needs more hard drives than Google ?? (Same stupid rumour as the above one ;) |
Fon.com is a Google Sponsored social routeur provider. |
Oops, not talking about the same thing.. sorry
