Custom map works anywhere beside Israel?!
The regular maps.google shows Tel Aviv very well but The Google maps api dose not work when trying to show Customize and preview embedded mapmap in Tel Aviv, the maps comes out distorted and without streets details.
…. Why?
(By the way the Satellite works well in custom mode…)

The Google has added to they maps new layers at September 2008, but unfortunately not for Google Map API database. So all users of that API are stacked with old data.
It seems to me, that there is to many competitors, in Israeli Map market (mapa.co.il, atlasct.co.il, gisrael.co.il.... etc.) that the Israeli representatives of Google decide to do some commercial use of Google Map API for Israeli maps.
Anyway the data is already at google's database, but it's steel closed for all Google Map API users. |
