My home page is set to www.google.com/ig.

Instead of going to that, it goes to http://www.google.com/ig/i

when i launch all browsers.

Were you playing with UserAgent values? Like saying your browser is actually a different browser such as the iphone safari mobile browser?

Out of interest, what's your user agent string?

Check here: http://whatsmyuseragent.com

Mozilla/5.0
Windows
U
Windows NT 6.0
en-US
rv:1.9.0.5
Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5

this behavior is on 3 diff browsers. only for the url www.google.com/ig.

if I use something like this:
http://www.google.com/webhp?rls=ig

it displays fine.

Themes will also not change. Cannot drag anda drop.

I'm having the same problem. Yesterday the iphone version, today the mobile version. I'm able to trick it by browsing to a different google page, then navigating to igoogle.

Here's my user agent info:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5

I was having the same problem using the latest versions of IE and Chrome. At home, where I use a mac, I don't have the problem.

Odd. It doesn't seem to be browser issue then.

I wonder if it's something to do with your ISP.

At work, IE only, it works fine, the www.google.com/ig.

Google does know about this, too.

PS my ISP is AT&T/Yahoo! Deluxe DSL.

Interesting. Same behavior as yesterday. I get home...and now all behaviors are normal. Same deal.

Wednesday AM;
http://www.google.com/ig sends all browsers to google.com/ig/i.
by 1PM PT; back to normal.

Thursday AM:
http://www.google.com/ig sends all browsers to google.com/m/ig
by 1PM PT; back to normal.

[Same thing Mike sees. Still cannot change themes; no drag and drop; cannot add modules. Cannot delete them, either. You delete it, then refresh the page...and it's back. No response from Google.]

Havent had the redirect issue today.

Still couldn't change themes or add modules or drag/drop.
So I saved the XML, then re-added it..and now those features work.

Who knows.

I had the redirect issue on my iPhone today. It dumped me to google.com/m/ig instead of google.com/ig/i . Wonder what's going on with their browser identification code.

"Hey everyone, I have an update for you. We've decided to direct iPhone users to the standard mobile iGoogle page. We've found that people hit iGoogle from lots of different phones – we want to ensure you'll all see the same version.

Most or all of your existing content should translate over to the standard mobile version. The only exception would be any gadgets that aren't compatible with most mobile browsers.

We've got several articles in our Help Center about the mobile experience on iGoogle, which you can find in our Help Center (linked below)."

I used to use igoogle ALL the time.

I HATE the change. It does NOT work anywhere near as well. BAD decision Google. You are now no longer my result page.

Another thing I have noticed. I fixed the drag/drop issue and the cannot change issue by re-adding the XML code.

Whatever, I have no idea why that worked, but it did.

Sometimes, when I click the name of a tab, let's say, 'NEWS;'

the tab will open to show all the modules on the tab, on the side of the page.

Must have been testing the "iPhone" version for it to be used on Android.
