Webmaster tip of the week: putting 3rd party javascript in the header will download every javascript first before displaying the page in the browser. This includes analytics, so please put JS includes as low as possible in the page when possible.

One problem with putting statistical analysis scripts at the bottom of a page is that often you will lose accuracy. People's browsers will time out or they will leave the page before it finishes loading or they stop the loading manually.

But that may be necessary to preserve user experience quality. So putting it at the end of the page is a compromise. Though one that some people may not want to make.

Make a scripts which downloads the script daily and serve it from your local server.

It won't be cached as it will probably be if you link it form googleanalytics.com, but you won't rely on Google servers speed. You choose.
