Sept. 2nd, 10;15 Calif.TIme Try this: If your Gmail account (acct) is "disabled," it's probably not your fault. Here is how to get a new and working one. I did this, and it worked ok. Go to the Gmail home page again (maybe to the American version?), and click on the place where it says to use your cellular phone to establish a new Gmail acct. (This is found just below the Sign In boxes). Follow the simple directions there. Give them a different new Gmail Acct. Name & different Password than what you originally used. You also need an existing second email acct that is NOT a Gmail acct as a contact point. (If you don't have one, you can make one for “free” at Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. Keep a note on what you put in the "answers" form. You can also use that second acct. as a “back up” of your Gmail files, by Forwarding to the i.e., Hotmail acct.). Then, type that alternative e-address into the Gmail form, and fairly soon Gmail will send their "secret confirmation code number" (or whatever G* calls it!) to that second email acct. Write it down on paper. Then go "Back" to the Gmail page where it asks for the Secret Number. Type it in and do whatever else is needed. (Keep a written list of your "answers" and etc., here, also. Do NOT delete the confirmation email that Gmail sends to your alternative email acct. You may need it later). When you are done, that will get you an active Gmail acct. Then, tell everyone who you communicate with about how Gmail shut almost everyone else down as well, and not targeting you for any wrongdoing, and that you are not accused nor guilty of anything. Make that clear, OK? Google apparently is doing some "house cleaning." Who knows. And who knows if we will ever get our old Gmail acct or its files back again.
