Google News is now rendering with two columns of different widths.
The left one is narrow and the right one is wide.

Widths depends on language. Look left column:
126px in english
180px in french
144px in german
152px in italian
etc.

It is back to normal now,
The columns I am talking about are "below the fold", where there is no side bar.

The language is and was English.
Changing the window size and font size do not seem to impact it.
What is the relevance of the those pixel measurements?

As I recall, when it was uneven the left column seemed to be about 1/3 the width of the right column, or about 1/4 of the window width.
