Ew.

Though I may go Black/Gray/White... could be cool...

I want to know when themes will be coming to Google Apps.

No doubt coming to Google Apps very soon. I have anticipated this as a necessary feature for this to work in the Google Apps environment. Business most likely want to brand their Gmail interface to match their logo/company and are not too keen on people displaying a ninja theme for their inbox (unless you work at Google).

For Google Apps I would wish that they add theme support to other services as well like calendar or docs and then add the theme feature as a domain-wide setting in Google Apps.

Think the same like Benjamin. It could be a great work.

The option is not working so it seems when offline access is enabled. Then only standard themes can be selected.

I have the offline option on, and it works for me in Chrome.

Looks lie there is no way to customise the colour of the actual email bodies, it defaults to a white background

I can't seem to find an option to change the actual email content color from white

Probably because an email can specify its own background color – So if I sent you an email I created with a black background, it would show you that black background regardless of your email client.

If Gmail allowed you to change the background color of my email, then my black email with white text would not display how I had formatted it...

Well, the "terminal" theme does black background of received messages. I was hoping to be able to get black background for emails that I am composing as well. The blast of white when I compose is a real eye burner.

Oooo ... first skins, now custom colors.

How the hell is this kind of crap "feature" release newsworthy?

it reminds me of iGoogle..

what's next in Gmail labs? a social apps integration like Y! Mail?

Is it just me or when you click on custom colors and then cancel without changing anything, the default layout automatically changes!

Anyone seeing this?
