When I try to add a link, I get: "403 – You are not authorised to view this resource" |
[Thanks, I added an update!] |
I had noticed that a few days ago. This is really too bad that Google has done this. I can understand the frustrations of indexing public calendars that are frequently renamed and/or deleted regularly. But still, I don't like to hear this.
A work around that *HAD* worked was to visit Google's Directory of Public Calendars [it seems that link now redirects to calendar.google.com] and search the calendars from there.
I hope this site does what it says it's going to do. |
EDIT to prior comment ... the work around that HAD worked, you needed to visit the Directory of Public Calendars signed out of your Google account. |
Please help me with directions to transfer a) my bookmarks, b) my contacts, and c) the so-called quick fill (where one starts typing an email address and gMail completes it.
Many thanks ... |
Bookmarks: http://www.google.com/bookmarks/bookmarks.html (you'll download a html file that can be imported in your browser)
Contacts: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=24911 |
Thank you, Ionut Alex. Chitu. How about the files from which the so-called quick fill info is derived ??
Much obliged

Thank you again, Ionut Alex. Chitu. However, that URL doesn't take me to anything meaningful
("while (true); &&&START&&&{"Success":true,"Body":{"UserData":{"DisplayEmail": "scarritrgmail.com","Email":"scarritrgmail.com","Experiments": ["cmerge","fullcont")
[Formatting fixed in Chrome – Tony] |
It may not be meaningful to you, but it's a good input for a JSON parser (except for the first characters). All the data about your contacts is structured as a JavaScript object. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JSON
If you want to transfer data to another account, it's not necessary (and not even possible) to export this JSON file. You only need to export the CSV file from Gmail's contacts section. The same data can be represented in many formats (CSV, XML, JSON), but the CSV format can be imported by most applications. |
Thanks again, Ionut Alex. Chitu. I'll take your your word for it!! I'm afraid my knowledge in this regard has become overtaxed. But I am grateful for your kind and generous help. |
[it seems that link now redirects to calendar.google.com...]
I had the same problem. What can I do? |
