Gmail makes a sound (using Flash) when a new chat message is received... I really wish we had a built-in option that could be turned on or off for sound when new mail arrives!

Even a Labs feature that does this would be fine...

We use Google Apps mail for work and this is a MUCH NEEDED feature.

The Gmail Notifier doesn't work with Google Apps accounts.

The Google Notifier only works with Macs.

I don't want to install Google Talk or Google Talk Labs Edition just to get new mail notification...

A built-in new mail notification option would be very beneficial, wouldn't it??
