I was reading http://docs-forum-announcements.blogspot.com/2009/03/new-google-spreadsheets-update-xlsx.html

When i click the link at the bottom of the post, https://spreadsheets.google.com/a/google.com/pub?key=rKohEE9p9SoBsAXtTvMOKqQ it sends me to a google.com login page, but if you try to login you obtain this :

Google.com

As what do you try to login? I am prompted to enter my "google.com" account, but then get "The username or password you entered is incorrect"...

Yeah, I've seen that before. Just click the "I cannot access my account" link below the login box and you'll get this: https://www.google.com/a/google.com/DomainContact

I often see that, usually by clicking on a link in one of Google official blogs articles

But how would you implement the "forgot password" feature? It's used when people cannot access their account, so you don't know for sure if they're members of the domain or just people clickling around random links. For the former, you need to provide useful information, which may imply revealing some internal process, as Dogfood does.

Right, you just need to clarify that it's public in the dialog where the admin enters the info, that's what would be needed...

Indeed, good point. I just checked that settings for my domain and discovered my (private) phone number. I don't think anybody cares enough to look for my Google Apps login page, but I removed it anyway.

Wow, thanks for sharing this. I never thought that message would be public.

These Google Apps Help pages are localized i.e. translated. However, the format of the urls is like https: // www.google.com/a/google.com/DomainContact always.
