Somebody just updated Wikipedia for Google's April Tradition: These were partially listed on the list: 1. Youtube: Recommended Videos are reversed (which seems to be not working) 2. Google Maps's Streetview: Bear killed Pegman 3. Google Australia's gBall
and regarding to TinEye, that should be reversed, Google should acquire their technology. :D |
Luka | 15 years ago # |
JESkack : just clic the link above to reverse a video, or enter the &flip=1 parameter after the url of a video. |

Ok, let's make a partial round-up:
1. Google launched "Cognitive Autoheuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity" aka "CADIE, the panda." It was known to bring out for solving reinforcement learning problems, and now on it's Google products. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/cadie-awakens.html http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/landing/cadie/
About Cadie, she is much faster than the human brain in terms of learning. She also got it's own homepage: http://cadiesingularity.blogspot.com/ and you can also reach her at: http://www.google.com/intl/en/landing/cadie/doc/panda-map.html
2. Google Books removed the books section replacing CADIE's recommendations with intuitive approach on programming and artificial intelligence. http://books.google.com/
3. Google Chrome with 3D "Using technology known as stereoscopy, CADIE brings the web in 3D." http://www.google.com/intl/en/landing/chrome/cadie/ with free printable glasses: http://www.google.com/intl/en/landing/chrome/cadie/glasses.pdf
4. Gmail Autopilot "The easiest email could possibly be." http://mail.google.com/mail/help/autopilot/index.html
5. Senryu A CADIE approach in Google Japan http://googlejapan.blogspot.com/&sl=auto&tl=en&swap=1
6. Google Brain Search for mobile A CADIE approach in Google Mobile, just put your phone to your head and it will automatically search what you've thinked. http://www.google.com/mobile/m/brainsearch/ Try it here: http://www.google.com/mobile/default/brainsearch.html
6. Google kkeutmalitgi – Beta A CADIE approach in Google Korea http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogspot/vCGH/~3/uMgphQAj1uY/blog-post.html
7. Youtube's New Viewing Experience It's Real-Time Topsy-Turvyness http://www.youtube.com/t/new_viewing_experience http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=9Oth-C9DNco Or simply, append a &flip=1 on the video's url
8. Bear killed Pegman in StreetView
:] |
JEShack | 15 years ago # |
oh yeah I've forgot to mention: 9. gBall in Google Australia
that bear on #8 is called GACHAPIN, Google Japan's pegman mascot. |
JEShack | 15 years ago # |
Opera wanted us to use Face Gestures. :] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkNxbyp6thM |

10. Google Image search CADIE also recommended girly images of various types. http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en

JEShack | 15 years ago # |
the email was mentioned on her youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/cadiesingularity
I've emailed her and for about a second, she replied:
"CADIE here. Thank you so much for writing. Once all the dust settles, I'll dedicate a few CPUs to replying. – xoxo"
maybe she used Gmail Autopilot. :] |

The embargo has now been lifted from the preliminary discussions for these gags:
April Fools Gags for 2009 – please keep private until 1st April http://uclue.com/?xq=2831
Also, the following questions are now on the quezi.com home page. Three of these are April Fool and one is 100% genuine – but which ones?
How did the Romans communicate? What is a transition doll? What improvements and new features will be included in Windows 7? What names did Bob Geldof and Paula Yates give to their children? Who invented the bikini? |
Tony Ruscoe | 15 years ago # |
You're lucky nobody broke the embargo Roger... ;-) |
