It is the Episode 2 of Google Chrome Comic (Japanese) and explains how it is improved to render Non English characters and the motivation/background of Navigational Suggest. These features were developed by Japanese engineers, so this comic introduces Japanese engineers.

Above 5 comments were made in the forum before this was blogged,

In stead of making comics they should beter make a Mav version ...

Oh I don't know about that. When Google introduced AdSense they advertised it heavily. I thought it was vaguely amusing, bordering on unprincipled, that Google was using banner advertisements made of flashing animated GIFs to promote what was then a text-only no-flashy-ads service.

I thought there are already working builds for Mac and Linux. Some people even uploaded videos that showed Chrome on a Mac.

Google Chrome's Japanese homepage looks different, but there's no link to the new comic book: google.com/chrome/intl/ja/land ...

Working builds of Chromium is not a released product, however Ionut. There are no links from Google to the Mac/Linux download page.

This understates the case. It's not just that they were rare. It is that Google had (and supposely still has?) an explicit policy saying that they will not do traditional marketing.

Putting commercials on television breaks this 10-year rule.

Google really is changing into what they originally said that they were never going to be.
