Google.com doesn't close their <HTML> tags

Just saw this on reddit: http://blog.bug.gd/2009/06/27/the-highest-traffic-site-in-the-world-doesnt-close-its-html-tags/

Interesting fact, i guess. Google leaces out the closing tags because browsers don't need it and it saves time (a very tiny amount of time, but they still care about every milisecond!)
