It's pretty easy to create a bot, but if it becomes popular you're in trouble, because you'll need a powerful dedicated server to support the bot. There are easier ways to promote content (but not as unique).

But saying that using one whole powerful, dedicated server for promotion – meaning I guess, that it's too expensive – is like, oh, King Gates pointing out that there's no reason to have more than 64k of memory. (that may be apocryphal, but I don't think so: history is written by the winners)

Time's a wastin'. I'm still waiting for the really smart marketeer that builds an IM version of that old psychoanalytic program. It's as if you're really talking to someone, at least for while, and then – boom! – the conversation is suddenly right on target. And it could sell anything to young girls, an awful lot of things to young guys, and would probably work on the older gents, too.

Get real. The cost of computers has been:

a) increasing
b) decreasing
