<<Play the 10 Days in Google Books game

Welcome to the world of books! The 10 Days in Google Books game consists of 5 questions per day, each day with a different theme. Find the answers using Google Books!
Daily Prizes

Every day is a new chance to win. Here's how: after you answer today's questions, write a brief creative entry on the topic of books. Each day, the top 3 submissions will win Sony Readers. The first 20,000 people to play the game will also get Google Books laptop stickers. >>

There's a tiny line saying "Legal residents of the 50 United States". Really, really small compared to other text sections. You can enter false answers and still enter the contest. If you enter France as a state without noticing the US only mini-warning, Google won't tell your participation isn't valid.

Oh, and Google won't tell you it's a US-only game on their blog post either. http://booksearch.blogspot.com/2009/07/announcing-10-days-in-google-books-game.html

I thought Google was very good at targetting non-US Youtube users about their rights ;)

"State" implicitly assumes "US State" (eg. California, New York, etc.)
If it were international, I'd expect it to read "State or Province" and an additional "Country" field.

But you're right that the fact that the contest is US-only isn't presented as upfront as it could be.

Though, as the free stickers seem to be available separate from the Sony Reader contest, perhaps international players can still try for those?
