Google China's search box is both wider and taller than Google France's search box (and probably any other official Google search box).

Also search suggestions are enabled again.

In my browser (Fx 3.5/Vista), Google France's search box has 361 px, while g.cn's box has 450 px.

Here to 450px (.cn) and 361 in France. (Firefox / Win7)

Damn, I'm with Ubuntu, Firefox 3.0.
The base-size of characters might be different on my OS. Website Google.cn uses CSS, Google.fr uses only "size" HTML attribute, so it makes the difference.
