It's possible to run Google Earth on various Linux distros. I have it running on Fedora Core 4. You'll need a video card with OpenGL. I have an ATI card and they have released great Linux drivers. Install Wine, then install winetools. With winetools install dcom98, then IE, then Google Earth. It will take you a couple hours to do all the troubleshooting. Enjoy.

Hi there! I have Fedora Core 4, an ATI video card, and want Google Earth to run more then any other program for windows that I know of. Is there any additional troubleshooting required after doing what you have mentioned here?

It's also possible on Ubuntu, but just like on Fedora there are display problems.
