"Docs will not be editable on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm PST. All Docs should be accessible during this time."
Will Google release the new design there with many new features?

Whatever they are doing is currently in progress. If you open up a document in Google Docs right now, you are presented with the following message:
"Google Docs is currently in read only mode. Changes will not be saved."
I'm somewhat surprised the save button still is activated and tells you it saved, but if you close the document and come back, as stated by the message they document is not saved. |
BrianS Actually it's just come back, I've just tested saving and it works.
What I found surprising was they just told you that it was read-only and didn't have a message saying it was planned downtime. |
lame no changes were made, well at least no real changing changes were made, did anyone see what was changed? |
sadly it seems that still no changes to the inteface have been made. and still no word abouth the causes of the event |
