I got this screenshot by email and forwarded it, but some people are saying it's fake.

A quick search revealed it spread widely across the interned for the past days, and it's already on digg: http://digg.com/comedy/White_People_Stole_My_Car_3

Can't reproduce this... did Google manually remove the spelling suggestion? Did anyone here see this while it was live?

I commented on digg about this. I'm pretty sure they removed the suggestion manually, since similar queries get fixed, such as:

- "blakc people"
- "blakc people stole"
- "blakc people stole my"
and even
- "blakc people stole my bike".

But not "blakc people stole my car".

Hey James

at first didnt understood what you meant by that link, but I just found out there was an 'o' missing in the url. The correct one is http://www.gooogie.co.uk/ (no need for a capital i, since capitalization is ignored in the domain part of the url)

Also, Search Engine Watch covered the story: http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/090826-135734
