I just came here to post about this... I'm seeing it too! At first I thought I was zoomed in in my browser or something...

My search buttons look different, they look Google Apps-y and not like the OS X default a few minutes before

The links on the right still aren't centred...

Its larger mostly on the right side. Also, This doesnt affect anything other than web search

hebbet Strange i'm not seeing it yet here on Firefox / IE8 – Windows 7. Google.de and Google.fr are big. I'm only seeing it when changing the URL like this, but it will come.

OMG, even textbox on SERP is big. Because the font-size is set to 17 PIXELS!!!!!!

This doesn't have anything to do with the Patent from 2004.

Google.fi is "big" also, but they haven't changed Firefox's Google start page boxes and buttons

Google Image Search is bigger to by the way.

A new image with controls. I think the new buttons on the bottom right are new here, not sure.

No that image aint new, I've seen it several times on my Mac, when I've searched for something, and then clicks on the Google logo and drags it away. That made it look like that.

I hope they make the size changable in the preferences because for my eyes the old search box was allright.
