<<The iCrossing blog noticed Google is trying displaying anchor based links directly in the Google search engine snippets (site descriptions). For example, a search for [pension contributions] returns a Wikipedia result with a link directly in the snippet.>>

Yes, i have noticed this change. And, i believe, this focussed marking is good |
I know this thread is a little old but, you blogged about this last year. http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2008-12-17-n45.html
Am I missing something here? |
It was a limited experiment in December 2008 and now it's live for everyone. |
I've just got it happening on one of my sites, which is nice :) Try a search on google.co.uk (pages from the UK) for "Vodafone Business Contracts" a clickable jump link is shown going to the rellevant section on the page.
I've put a screenshot up and blogged about it here, http://www.podline.co.uk/info/?p=110
What is a little strange is if you do a search for "T-Mobile Business Contracts" (my 2nd listing on page 2) shows a jump link, but to my Orange Business Contacts instead of the T-Mobile section.
