The above Google Maps link links to Woodham Road in the town of Woking. Google gave the coordinates for this in the tweet.

<<The town of Woking has a lot of historical relevance and some of this is the town role within the field of literacy. One part of the town literacy history is that the town was one of the first places where Martians landed in the novel that was called The War of Worlds and was written by H.G Wells. The town of Woking was also featured in The Meaning of Liff that was written by Douglas Adams.>>

H.G Wells birthday is september 21th, this is when probably the third logo will placed.

Seems that it is the coordinates for the town that H.G. Wells lived in. Woking, Surrey in the UK. Location of the War of the Worlds statue as well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Woking_tripod.JPG

After asking about the crop circles Google provided the following statement:

"Clearly, the situation has escalated since last occurrence on September 5th. We're currently in negotiation to restore the Google logo to its natural form. We hope to resolve the situation within the next week."
