"Google will announce on Friday that it is combining its process for selling internet display advertisements with that for selling text ads, making a co-ordinated marketing campaign easier for buyers and potentially broadening the appeal of graphic ads.

The integration comes a year and a half after Google’s $3bn acquisition of DoubleClick, which runs auctions connecting web page owners with advertisers. As before, the ads will run on sites not owned by Google.
