if i remember correctly this url didn't point to the dropbox service which is at . but if they indeed acqured that dropbox it would be a great base for the long rumored gdrive

Debunked. I think it's pretty clear that Google does not own that domain.

The domain owner is likely pointing it at that server to use Google's AdSense for Domains or something ( but may have been banned.

The instructions for that service say to update your DNS so that it points at – i.e. the IP address shown here: ...

Damn! That would have been cool if Google acquired Dropbox!

Probably unrelated but a Dropboxer was joking about acquiring Google to get access to Wave invites :P ...
