Yay it works :D
Btw, it seems as if Google is converting the pdf pages into images.
For example: http://docs.google.com/gview?url=http%3A%2F%2Fnoscope.com%2Fmedia%2Fno.pdf&docid=c46dac55dcf3c768d3e7ae0ba05fbf95&chan=EgAAAJZm%2BTSD%2FpwAXSGrykdjM5llejgM6P1S0LAV2L1M012a&a=bi&pagenumber=1&w=463 |
Hmm...that's odd...anyway, right click on the original pdf link I posted as select "View as Image"...you'll see that it's converted into a png file. |
Does this work with the Android browser as well? |
I have developed a estate agents website and they have to display something called hipps its a new regulation in the UK and I want to link so it opens in a pdf but I dont know how :(
The website in question is kelly-estates.com I want to display the hipps image after each sale property .
An example of a hipps image can be seen @ http://media.rightmove.co.uk/12k/11858/11858_210015086_IMG_18_0008.jpg what do i have to do to do this bookmarklet thing any help would be great thanks.

Tom: It doesn't work this way. Google _takes_ PDFs and _creates_ images. You seem to want it the other way round. |
Thanks for the post here, Philipp.
Yeah turning it into a greasemonkey script (and possibly an extension for the major browsers) would be an excellent idea.
If anyone would like to do this, I'd love to link up the script and/or extension. |
This is what I'm seeing when I expand Sohil's link:
http://i34.tinypic.com/2e2go55.png
Maybe he has deleted his original document, but in that case the Google Docs message is misleading because it implies a transient error.
My own test document: http://uclue.com/images/retro-a4.pdf |
Same error message seen here. |
Roger, Juha-Matti: The first link from sohil works as intended. The second one is double-converted (he tried to link to the converted image from the result of the first link, but the forum software here seems to have picked the pdf-part in it and converted it again.)... |
I'm already using a greasemonkey script for this in Chrome, it's really nice: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/57453 |
I've been using this http://www.cnetz.net/2009/09/pdf-dateien-mit-google-pdf-viewer.html bookmarklet. Way more interesting because it changes the Google results.
