Woooooowwwwwwwww o/
First of all I'm glad to see you didn't want to work for Google in first place because you thought you were more efficient outside the company. But finally I think you will do a real good job inside too! Keep up the good work! |
TOMHTML | 14 years ago # |
But who will update Google (secrets) services names and subdomains now? :'-(Please clone yourself |
Matt Cutts | 14 years ago # |
w00t! I'm so excited that you're joining Google. :) I can see it now: "Day 1: Clean up the home page a bit. Make sure it's smaller but validates. Day 2: ..." :) |

Congrats Tony!
It's somewhat scary to see how Google snatches the brightest minds across this planet. ;-)
Maybe as a Googler, you could launch a weekly column like "Webmaster secrets" or so? Consider me subscribed.
All the best! Sebastian |

Well, in all seriousness, bang-up job, Tony! Good night and Good Luck and maybe post every once in a while, will you?

> so when is Philipp going to work for Google Germany?!? ;-)
No interest/ intent, Alek :)
> Since you comment that on your post, can we expect some > post about the interview process?
For what it's worth, for the reasons of journalistic/ bloggeristic conflict of interest (a company watch blog cannot be written by employees of that company...), that would have to be a forum post, not a blog post... though probably Tony now has guidelines over at Google that limit even forum posts (?)... but I'll also be happy to interview Tony in the future if his guidelines allow that... |
Jared Cherup | 14 years ago # |
Great news! Congrats Tony! |
Reto Meier | 14 years ago # |
Great to have you on board at Google here in London Tony!
I'm particularly looking forward to watching your eyes explode out of your head when you start searching the servers from the inside :D |
TOMHTML | 14 years ago # |
First Reto, Caleb and JohnMu, then Tony... who's next? Does Google have an office in Romania for Ionut? ^^ |
Tony Ruscoe | 14 years ago # |

I'm afraid I won't be posting about the interview process, or anything else covered by the non disclosure and confidentiality agreements I've signed, but I will always be happy to answer any questions that I feel to be appropriate... :-) |
