From the announcement:
Fastest rising (global) searches:
1. michael jackson 2. facebook 3. tuenti 4. twitter 5. sanalika 6. new moon 7. lady gaga 8. windows 7 9. dantri.com.vn 10. torpedo gratis |
And Google is one month early ;) |
It seems strange that the listing for Pittsburgh does not include the G-20 summit, the Steelers winning the Superbowl, or the Penguins winning the Stanley Cup. Maybe these topics had too broad of an appeal outside of Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh, PA 1. carnegie library oakland 2. hofbrauhaus 3. rivers casino 4. cmu directory 5. ccac blackboard 6. kdka news pittsburgh 7. cmu blackboard 8. cmu hub 9. parkvale online banking 10. port authority pittsburgh
It looks like most cities have entries for the names of newspapers, tv stations, or radio stations. These might be considered artifacts. Schools are also mentioned often.
What is number 3 in "Fastest Rising in Food & Drink (Global) " in "Overview"? |
"Lady gaga" is the seventh fastest rising query overall, yet it doesn't appear in the "Fastest rising in entertainment" list, so these lists are inconsistent.
But yeah, I realise Zeitgeist is produced for public relations and entertainment value rather then for science. |
