Search Engine Roundtable was reporting about it and I was experiencing the same. When searching with Google Images the above frame is missing. For example searching for Google will putt Ionut's blog on the first place. Then clicking on the image gives the Google Images URL but no frame.

The image frame still works for me, and it's got a new Google Search Box at the top.
