There are now many more options included on each video page, as well as a way to download each movie to your PSP/video iPod. I could not find any content from CBS to download, or a way to purchase any video. |
Here we go, one that you can buy for $3.99 (Funny, I watched this film just earlier today)
When you click 'Buy' it loads information from purchase.google.com – sadly this subdomain still doesn't return anything useful. It doesn't seem like you can pay with PayPal – which sucks. I wonder if you have to fill out one of these stupid forms every time you want to buy something. |
here's my take on Google Video.

just purchased CSI but was disappointed but there's other cool features. |
its nice , but $1.99 for an episode of the Brady Bunch is a bit excessive to say the least.
here's hoping that the prices adjust and become vastly more reasonable

Nice. They have an easy PayPal checkout. I just bought a video. There was an error message on the final download page, but it still worked. "Warning: Failed opening '../../themes//header.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /drive2/videos/111/alacart.php on line 80"
Interestingly enough, they ask you to put an FBI warning Mpeg on your DVD first if you burn this... and offer the FBI warning for download! http://tesla.liketelevision.com/fbi/fbi.mpg |
what is the mpeg quality like?
|
Hard to tell, it's a black-and-white movie from the 1920s :) Around 90 MB for 10 minutes. |
And if now you place the "HTML source code" of the video into a web page on a server, ANY body can see it, even if you don't use Google Web Accelerator...
cool :-D |
you can see what tomhtml is on about at one of my blogs here:

Could you explain how you included that Justin? |
If you click through to watch any Google video, you'll see a "put on site" link on the right hand side. Click on that – it'll open up a text box full of html code which you can just cut and paste into any web page. like this:
<object style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" align="middle" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?videoUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvp.video.google.com%2Fvideodownload%3Fversion%3D0%26secureurl%3DiwAAANzSibc5GT7epP3P7H506Ve1NxVbFGzq901oTWYmGZrVLw4CNBTqcM4TiUUfVEtIbwGPAdEbbcqRkeoARjDqrfO3zJaIT8lV9SVAFFAt3CjKYZygoMfcz7RuSgl9HwMIrsrplvEO8U7IHBnv7MlOq_DbZ3eL1OZDtpz5vHkQfRn71kXPAZ4hCTR_TeFQSZec5A%26begin%3D0%26len%3D3368742&thumbnailUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.com%2FThumbnailServer%3Fcontentid%3D46adeec77427e4b%26second%3D5%26itag%3Dw320%26urlcreated%3D1136972039%26sigh%3DoGcPR7-U2esfmEF9PB88OHQdPsc&playerId=-290295049007976404&playerMode=embedded"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="movie" value="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?videoUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvp.video.google.com%2Fvideodownload%3Fversion%3D0%26secureurl%3DiwAAANzSibc5GT7epP3P7H506Ve1NxVbFGzq901oTWYmGZrVLw4CNBTqcM4TiUUfVEtIbwGPAdEbbcqRkeoARjDqrfO3zJaIT8lV9SVAFFAt3CjKYZygoMfcz7RuSgl9HwMIrsrplvEO8U7IHBnv7MlOq_DbZ3eL1OZDtpz5vHkQfRn71kXPAZ4hCTR_TeFQSZec5A%26begin%3D0%26len%3D3368742&thumbnailUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.com%2FThumbnailServer%3Fcontentid%3D46adeec77427e4b%26second%3D5%26itag%3Dw320%26urlcreated%3D1136972039%26sigh%3DoGcPR7-U2esfmEF9PB88OHQdPsc&playerId=-290295049007976404&playerMode=embedded"/> <param name="quality" value="best" /> <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /> <param name="scale" value="noScale" /> <param name="wmode" value="window" /> <param name="salign" value="TL" /> </object> |
That's cool. It seems to work, but Google Video playback at the moment (since some days) isn't working for me/ so slow I always only see the first cell. Am I the only one? |
