I received an email from – Gmail <account-support[put at-character here]mastercool.info> – informing me my gmail account has been selected and will be shut unless I provided – "Account Name, Password, Date of Birth and Country" . It sounded very suspicious to me. Any body received similar reques?

I'd take it very seriously. It's almost certainly real. I had a similar one last week and had to follow the instructions carefully and avoided losing my account.

...seriously tho, how gullible are you?

Like hebbet says, its phishing definitely, don't fall for it :-). Google would not communicate like this.

Hi Kuchiye
Google does not send out emails like that. If you suspect that someone may have gained information in this way, I would strongly recommend changing your password as soon as possible. Our blog post at http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2009/07/password-strength-and-account-recovery.html has some tips for passwords.

There is some great information about the account recovery process at http://www.labnol.org/internet/gmail-and-google-apps-hacked/11799/ – it might be worth writing down the information there for later, just in case.
