For one query atleast, Google does not seem to be asking "Did you mean?" at all or showing the top two results of the corrected query. Instead, it auto-corrects the query and shows results only for the auto-corrected query. Eg: http://www.google.co.in/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=how+to+add+internationalizaton+support
Let me know if it this auto spelling suggestion works for you too. Or, this is just an experiment. :) |
Confirmed, it autocorrects, shows results for the autocorrected verison, and IN PARALLEL allows you to perform the search for the original, erronous query:
> how to add internationalization support. Search instead for > how to add internationalizaton support
[First result for "internationalization" is, of course, "i18n"]
However, on subsequent retries, it goes with the uncorrected string, and only sez "Did you mean: ... corrected item?"

I'm a user in Taiwan, for me Google only showed 2 corrected results on the top. |
