Yeah...ive been happily using that for free for a few months on my phone instead of verizons $5/mo service...thats where i posted this from(looks great!)

If it indeed is "pretty old," or even just "a few months old," how come Google hasn't mentioned it anywhere? Earliest mention of it on searcheable Usenet dates from 19 Jan 2006

and, apart from that, I've only discovered one possibly earlier mention of it here (posted 33 days ago from today, ie. Jan 13th?). I have not been able to contact the author of it.

It is also feasible to do this using a web proxy such as http://www.spondoo.com that supports mobile format. Much on the same principal that google acts as a proxy in this case
